  • “Such good themes. A couple lines from the book stood out to them and we had great conversations that I'd say were pretty deep for a couple of teenage boys. I thought they would not be interested but they asked me to get the book and read it to them.”

Do I read the book or play the game first?

Either or! S. D. Smith wrote the book and the game at the same time so they would work hand-in-hand with one another. There are some minor differences due to the different storytelling mediums, but the game is intentionally designed as a videogamization of the novel. We've heard from some parents using the game as an incentive to play after they've read the book.
